SIALKOT: Four people, including three minor children, were killed and three others were critically injured in two road accidents in Pasrur tehsil on Saturday.

Punjgrayeen-based shopkeeper Shabbir Ahmed was going on his motorcycle along his two sons and a daughter. When they reached near Nanowali village on Motra-Badiana Road, a tractor-trolley, overloaded with bricks, hit their motorcycle. As a result, Shabbir’s two sons -- Shoaib, 6, and Sami, 4 -- died on the spot. His daughter Esha, 8, sustained serious injuries and both her legs broke. She was shifted to the Daska Civil Hospital in a critical condition.

In another accident, local trader Hamza Aziz, 22, and his daughter, Muskan, 2, were killed while his eight-month-old son Rehan and wife, Shama Bibi, were injured when a tractor-trolley hit their motorcycle near village Ban Bajwa on the Daska-Pasrur Road.

Shama and Rehan were shifted to local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the tractor-trolley fled and the police registered a case against him.

KILLED: The body of a landlord’s kidnapped son was found in the fields in Begowala village of Sambrial tehsil.

According to the details, some unidentified suspects had kidnapped Muhammad Riaz’s four-year-old son, Muhammad Ahmed, for ransom on Friday. The kidnappers demanded Rs500,000 from the family on phone calls from different numbers for the release of the child. The family agreed to pay Rs300,000 but reported the matter to police. On Saturday, Ahmed’s body was found in the fields.

Begowala police shifted body to the Sambrial Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. The police said the post-mortem report would confirm whether the boy was molested or not.

The family of the child and villagers held a protest against the murder by placing the body in the village roundabout.
