KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders and activists in this city celebrated suspension of jail terms of Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law retired Captain Safdar on bail by distributing sweets.

They party’s Sindh president Shah Mohammed Shah, Ali Akbar Gujjar, MNA Khealdas Kohistani, Khalid Shaikh, Khwaja Tariq Nazeer, Asad Usmani, Sorath Thebo, Ashiq Gujjar and others visited the local press club and distributing sweets among the people present there.

Speaking to reporters, the leaders said that suspension of the convicts’ imprisonment was a victory of righteousness. “The Islamabad High Court’s decision proves that they a innocent,” the jubilant activists said.

They said those who believed that Nawaz Sharif would go for a deal on his release today stood wrong as he [Mr Sharif] neutralised all conspiracies against him while he was in jail and got himself released through judicial process.
