Shoop brought to Karachi its first 'Shooper T10 Cricket League' for the youth this weekend. The initiative aims to encourage young adults to present their talents on a professional level.

The event kicked off on September 7 at Moin Khan Academy in DHA; the opening ceremony greeted attendees with a firework display, laser show and oath taking.

The show was hosted by Ahmed Ali Butt and executed in collaboration with Game Plan. A number of renowned sportsmen and celebrities were spotted at the event; Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail, Wasim Akram, Shaniera Akram, Moin Khan and Fahad Humayun graced the opening ceremony with their presence.

Shooper T10 Cricket League, an inter-school cricket tournament, provided young adults a formal platform to showcase their talent in Pakistan’s most loved sport, cricket.

The platform not only encouraged boys to participate but also empowered girls to aim towards pursuing cricket professionally.

The league, based on international cricketing standards and rules, took place from September 8 to September 16; the event also included fun activities and various food stalls for all attendees.

Pakistan Women's cricket team captain, Bisma Maroof, was chosen as the face of the event in order to encourage girls to come forward and participate. She also mentored the girls teams participating in the tournament.

The boys teams mentored by legendary cricketer Wasim Akram himself.
