Manto's daughters will be heading to India for the release of their father's biopic

Unfortunately, the eldest daughter of the playwright Nighat will not be able to make it to the release

Nandita Das has confirmed that the famous writer's daughters Nuzhat and Nusrat have been invited to India for the release of her film Manto.

Speaking to DNA India, Das said, "We are keeping our fingers crossed that the family of this great literary icon who is legacy of the whole Indian subcontinent will find the passage smooth."

Ms Nuzhat's family has confirmed to Images that she and her sister Nusrat intend to travel to India but their visas are still pending.

Manto is set to release on September 21.

Strange! A country which oust the Urdu language, making film on the Manto, a prominent writer of the said language.
