KHAR: The body of a minor girl killed in Bajaur lately was exhumed for postmortem on Tuesday.

Assistant commissioner Anwarul Haq told reporters here that the body’s exhumation was ordered by the chief minister to find the cause of the nine-year-old’s death.

He said a team of experts from Swat conducted the body’s postmortem and collected DNA samples from it.

The official said the team was likely to submit report to the administration within two days.

He said officials of the local administration and Levies Force and local elders helped the team.

Mr Haq said nine suspects, including girl’s father, had been arrested.

KILLED: Gunmen killed a man and injured another in Jar area of Bajaur district on Tuesday. The officials said Imran Khan and Khan Rawan were targeted when they’re travelling from Khar to Jar in a car.

They said the firing left both of them critically wounded and therefore, they’re taken to the District Headquarters Hospital, Khar, where driver Imran Khan died.

The officials said no one had claimed responsibility for the firing and the local administration had launched investigation into it.

WALL OF KINDNESS: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society has established the Wall of Kindness in Khar Bazaar here to motivate the people to donate clothes, shoes and other things for the poor and needy people.

A representative of the PRCS said all staff members of the organisation’s local chapter had donated clothes, shoes, books, magazines and other things for needy people.
