KARACHI: Pakistan U-19 batsman Ammad Alam slammed an unbeaten century to help Karachi win their second straight game in the Karachi Kings Sindh Ke Shehzade T20 Cricket Tournament at the Lawai Cricket Stadium here on Monday night.

Ammad blasted 111 off 68 balls with nine fours and five sixes as Karachi amassed 215-2 against Nawabshah, who is reply mustered 114 all out in 17.4 overs to lose by 101 runs.

In another match Mirpurkhas upset Sukkur by three wickets. Mohammad Salman was architect of his team’s triumph with a hurricane 77 off 51 balls (seven fours and four sixes), while leg-spinner Kahaf Patel grabbed 4-29.

The tournament kicked off on Sunday night with a colourful ceremony with ex-Pakistan skipper and present of Karachi Kings Shahid Khan Afridi inaugurating the event by hitting a ball.

In open­ing match Karachi beat Hyderabad by 42 runs.
