Getting off scot-free

Published September 11, 2018

INDULGE in money laundering and corruption, get caught, hire a good lawyer and contest the case. Pay hefty fees. Fail to prove your innocence. Get a jail sentence.

Fall sick within a few hours of punishment. Get transferred to hospital. Have a hospital room declared as sub-jail. Get all the facilities in jail which you can’t get even at home.

Get caught consuming alcohol in hospital bed. Deny it. Get blood tested. Have the medical result turned in your favour. Get off scot-free.
