LAHROE: Pakistan cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmad has said that the Pakistan team touring UAE for the Asia Cup has announced to donate a sum of Rs 3.2 million for the funds jointly set up by Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Justice Saqib Nisar to build dams in the country.

Sarfraz made the announcement at the NCA here on Monday while talking to reporters about the Pakistan’s prospect in the upcoming Asia Cup being held in UAE from Sept 15- 28.

Sarfraz said the nation has been responding well to the funds set up for the construction of dams and all the sixteen members of the national cricket team have decided to contribute Rs 200,000 each which amounts to a total sum of Rs 3.2million.

“It is a great cause and, hopefully, our nation will respond generously to it to ensure water availability for our next generations,” said Sarfraz.
