Karachi Academy wins Defence Day Softball

KHAIRPUR: Karachi Academy beat Khairpur Academy in the final by 12-5 to win the NSA Defence Day Women Softball Championship here on Sunday.

In the six-inning final, Karachi scored four runs in the first innings while in reply, Khairpur scored two. Karachi then replied by scoring five runs and then dismissed Khairpur for two again.

In Karachi’s last innings, they scored three runs and set a target of nine runs for Khairpur who could not chase it and fell for just one run.

For Karachi, Mursaleen scored three runs, Manahil Aftab, Ayesha Ishtiaq and Bushra Javed scored two runs each.

For Khairpur, Maria Hasan, Noor and Salma scored one run each.

Zarlash Shakeel was declared th best pitcher, Mursaleen was the best catches and Maria hasan was nominated as best hitter.
