Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa spent the day with the families of martyred soldiers, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Friday.

Gen Bajwa met the families of various martyrs one by one at an event that took place at Army Auditorium GHQ Rawalpindi.

He inquired about the families' well being and gave on-the-spot orders for the resolution of problems faced by them. Talking to them Gen Bajwa said the army and the nation "cannot thank them enough for the sacrifices rendered by them".

"Army shall continue to take care of the families of its Shuhadas," Gen Bajwa was quoted as saying by the ISPR.
