LAHORE: Following directions of the chief minister for launching a crackdown against land grabbers and illegal occupants of state owned land / properties, the LDA administration on Thursday constituted five teams led by the heads of the Directorate of Estate Management (1 to 5) and comprising respective directors of town planning, Water and Sanitation Agency, Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (Tepa), Urban Development and Engineering, police and others.

“The LDA has finalized list of properties to be retrieved from illegal occupants and chalked out a comprehensive plan for successfully carrying out the operation for achieving desired objectives. Local police and administration have also been contacted for providing assistance as and when required for the operation,” an LDA spokesman said in a press release.

Meanwhile, the LDA has announced auction of lease rights of 22 operational petrol pump sites situated in different localities in the city. The auction will be held on 26th September at 10.00 am at LDA Community Centre, New Muslim Town.
