LAHORE: In pursuance of the federal government decision, the provincial government on Saturday notified 9-to-5 working hours for offices that remain open five days a week in the province with effect from Sept 1.

According to a notification issued here, for offices having a five-day working week, the working hours from Monday to Thursday will be from 9am to 5pm with half an hour lunch/prayer break at 1pm.

On Fridays, the working hours will remain the same with one and a half hours break, from 12.30pm to 2pm, for Juma prayers.

The working hours for the offices that work six days a week, will be from 9am to 4pm with half-an-hour lunch/prayer break at 1pm. On Fridays, they will function from 9am to 1pm.
