Huawei opens applications to university students for ICT skill competition 2018

Top 6 winners will win a fully paid trip to China and a chance to compete for a prize of USD30,000.

Huawei ICT Competition Middle East 2018 is now open. 10 countries throughout the Middle East will be involved.

Huawei Pakistan has opened applications for its annual ICT competition, which gives students from all over the country a chance to showcase their talent in the field of Information and Communication Technology. The 2 finalist teams from Pakistan will compete with 9 other countries from the region in the international final round.

This year marks the third installment of this competition in Pakistan, and the opening ceremony will take place on September 6, 2018 at the HEC headquarters in Islamabad.

Last year, both teams from Pakistan managed to finish in the top 3 of the International Final.

Prizes and benefits

Students participating in the competition will get several opportunities to win prizes, depending on how well they perform.

  • Top 2 teams (6 students) of the National Final will win a fully paid trip to China to participate in the International Final and win Honor smartphones.

  • The winner of the International Final ME will win USD 30,000.

  • Winning teams will also get a chance to avail free Huawei HCNA, HCNP and HCIE certifications, Internship and job opportunities are also up for grabs.

  • Other than the big prizes, participants and student ambassadors will get special gifts, goodie bags and Honor mobiles.

How to participate

All university students who are currently enrolled in a programme and have an interest in or pursuing degrees in IT or Telecommunications, can enter the competition by registering here.
