PESHAWAR: The supply of natural gas to most parts of the provincial metropolis will remain suspended for eight hours on Thursday (today) because of shifting of the main supply lines from the route of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) near the GT Road.

According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, the technical staff of Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited would shift the pipelines from the BRT.

The supply will remain suspended from 9pm on Thursday evening to 5am on Friday.

The shifting of pipelines would cause suspension of natural gas supply to all the localities near GT Road from Tarnab Farm to Jinnah Park, including Gulbahar, Nishtarabad, Hashtnagri, Peshawar cantonment, Khyber Road, Warsak Road, Governor House, Chief Minister House, Kohat Road and Ring Road.

The SNGPL has advised the consumers to keep the supply lines off as a precautionary measure to avoid any mishap.
