LARKANA: The Larkana police on Tuesday claimed to have solved the mystery shrouding the Aug 25 murder of a 25-year-old man.

The victim was stabbed and gagged to death in his house located in Peeru Jo Goth, some 15 kilometres from here, within the jurisdiction of the Naudero police station while his family members were away in Sehwan Sharif.

After finding clues to the culprits by employing modern technology, the police picked up four suspects, one of whom finally turned out to be the prime suspect, SSP Shabbir Ahmed Sethar told a press conference on Tuesday.

He said several articles, including the wallet and mobile phone set belonging to the deceased were seized from the prime suspect. He said the four suspects had jointly committed the crime.

The prime suspect narrated details of their crime before local reporters. He said the victim had invited them (friends) to his house when he was alone there. “We dined together and then [two suspects] tried to sexually assault [the victim].

When he offered resistance, they stabbed him to death,” he said.

Naudero police registered the FIR (78/2018) against all four suspects on the complaint of the victim’s father.
