WASHINGTON, June 10: The United States and South Korea ‘speak with one voice’ on the issue of North Korea, US President George Bush said on Friday after summit talks aimed at smoothing over differences.
Mr Bush conferred with his South Korean counterpart Roh Moo-Hyun, whose government has resisted a US push for tougher action beyond negotiations to persuade Pyongyang to renounce its nuclear weapons programme.
“This meeting should make very clear that the US and South Korea speak with one voice,” Mr Bush told reporters —AFP
