Youth kills sister

SIALKOT: A youth shot dead his sister for ‘honour’ over suspicion of having relations with a man at Abiyala village of Sambrial tehsil on Tuesday.

Police said Nida Bibi (18) was in her room, when her brother Haider Ali shot at her. She died on the spot.

The suspect had suspicion that his sister had developed relations with a man of the same village, the police added.

The suspect fled away after committing the crime.

Airport police have registered a murder case (No.201/2018) under sections 302 and 311 of the PPC against the suspect on the report of his father Rehmat Ali.

Police shifted the dead body to hospital for autopsy.

ACCIDENT: A man was killed while his four children were injured seriously when a van hit their motorcycle near Begowala, Sambrial tehsil, on Tuesday.

Kharian-based trader Wahid Abbas, his wife Ume Salma and children Aun Abbas, Jawad Abbas, Ishrat and Zahra were on motorcycle when the accident occurred.

Begowala police have registered a case against the van driver, Amir Shehzad and arrested him.

SHOT DEAD: Four unknown armed motorcyclists shot dead a shopkeeper in front of his shop at Happu Garha village of Daska tehsil.

Police said the shopkeeper, Ghulam Abbas, was allegedly killed over old enmity. Police shifted the dead body to Daska Civil Hospital for autopsy and started investigation after registering a case.
