Zinda Qoum

Published August 21, 2018

THE nation observed Pakistan’s 71st Independence Day on Aug 14 with full fervour and gusto. Some of the activities, however, were more rowdy and uncouth behaviour than celebrations.

One definitely does not become a ‘Zinda Qoum’ by taking out the silencers of motorcycles or playing loud anthems or blocking traffic and spending the whole day dancing and screaming on the road.

The people of this country, especially youth, need to get their act together and get it right.
