TAXILA: A man allegedly killed his uncle in the Bai village, in the limits of the Hassanabdal police station, on Thursday.

Police sources quoted relatives of the victim, 50-year-old Ashar Ali, as saying that Ali’s goats had entered fields belonging to the suspect.

The suspect went to see Ali, his uncle, at his home to inform him of the incident and they argued.

The suspect then returned home, got his 12-bore gun and shot Ali, killing him on the spot.

The suspect fled the scene successfully, but a case has been registered against him with the Hassanabdal police.

The police have handed over the body of the victim after an autopsy at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.
