SAHIWAL: Rickshaw driver Sheikh Muhammad Nadeem gave free rides to passengers into the Sahiwal town on Tuesday as a gesture to celebrate the installation of Imran Khan, his hero, as the prime minister this month.

Popularly known as ‘Kaptan jee’ Nadeem has been running the three-wheeler in the city for the last 29 years. He announced giving free rides on Aug 14 through a panaflax board one week ago.

Nadeem has high hopes from his favourite politician, and says Imran is not a traditional politician but a strong and consistent fighter he has potential first to become a leader and then a statesman.
