NIP issues

IN July 2017, the National Internship Programme (NIP) was offered to graduate students to let them gain first-hand knowledge in their fields of interest.

According to the mutual contract, NIP was supposed to disburse the stipend in interns’ accounts on the basis of their monthly assessment. The training programme is over and students have not received their stipends for the last three months since March 2018.

Moreover, owing to the incompetence of NIP staff, the assessment of the last few months has not been uploaded to their official portal. Owing to this, students are not able to receive their stipend. On the other hand, many students have to cover their living, food and travelling expenses on their own. The ministry of inter-provincial coordination and authorities concerned should take action.
