Green flags, jhandiyaan and decorations are up everywhere: Independence Day is coming soon.

McDonald’s is celebrating Pakistan's cultural heritage with a special Azadi deal in traditional packaging.

The iconic red box of fries has been transformed into a heritage box which will be celebrating the different provinces of Pakistan.

For Punjab, the box integrates Multani pottery design, Sindh is celebrated with their the culturally rooted Ajrak design, Balochistan is represented through their rich Ralli craftsmanship, and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is showcased with their globally famous Truck Art.

These nationwide celebrations are part of a larger program. In-store cultural ambassadors, dressed in regional clothing and speaking regional languages, will also be welcoming customers in certain McDonald's restaurants.

The drive-thru kiosks will also feature full, life-sized cutouts in regional clothing, alongside photo booths and selfie-props.

These celebrations at McDonald’s mean you can truly feel the spirit of Azadi across the nation, throughout the month of August.
