KARACHI, June 7: The adviser to chief minister for excise and taxation, M. A. Jalil, has directed his department to provide more facilities to citizens at motor registration wing replacing the counters with bank booths at first and second floors of the Civic Centre. An official handout issue here on Tuesday stated that this step had been ordered to facilitate the vehicle owners in payment of taxes, transfer and registration of vehicles besides curbing the corruption among the staff and officials.
According to the directives, the bank booths would be set up at first and second floors of Civic Centre replacing the existing counters of the department for payment of taxes and fees.
The timings for such process have also been set according to which the application for transfer and registration would be received from 9am to 1pm on all the working days except Friday when the counters would be closed by 12noon.
The vehicle owners could collect the documents from 2pm to 4pm on all the working days except Friday.—PPI
