APC decision

Published August 7, 2018

I HAVE just watched the recent speeches by Sherry Rahman, et al. The real people of Pakistan (not the politicians and their cronies) find the all-parties’ conference (APC) decision sad. These people are such bad losers.

We are aware of the sort of elections we have witnessed over the past decade. Do these — washed in milk — politicians have such a short memory that they have forgotten what they said about each other in the last six to eight months?

Are any of these APC attendants concerned about Pakistan and its people or are they just interested in power and luxury? In the past decade, the political parties have borrowed billions of dollars from abroad. Is there any detail of where this went? The caretaker finance minister was critical on TV about the budget the PML-N government passed. Will the 2008-2013 and 2013-2018 governments clarify what they accomplished by having a chairman of the Kashmir Committee with the status of a federal minister?

The people of Pakistan want to know why the rich have gotten richer and the poor have become poorer. We need honest and dedicated leadership which is why the people chose the PTI.
