MANSEHRA: Four people were killed and three others, including an independent candidate from PK-34 Waqarul Mulk, injured when a jeep plunged into a ravine in Darah Jalgali area on Tuesday.

Mr Mulk was on way to mountainous Sathangali area along with seven other people when he lost control over steering and the jeep plunged into a deep ravine.

People from nearby localities retrieved the injured and shifted them to civil hospital in Shinkiari where doctors pronounced four of them dead.

Mr Mulk and two others were taken to King Abdullah teaching hospital.

The doctors, who operated on Mr Mulk, before referring him to a hospital in Abbottabad told reporters that his condition was serious as he had received injures in his head.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Sajid, Maulana Younus, Sajid Khan and Shabbir. Shinkiari police have lodged an FIR.
