KARACHI: The Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) on Tuesday named twenty-three players for the training camp which is to be set up for the preparation of Asian Women Netball Championship scheduled to be held in Singapore from Sept 1.

PNF president Mudassar Arain on Tuesday announced the names of the players.

He said that selection committee selected the players after the two-days trials held at PSB Coaching Centre recently. Around 62 women players from all over the country took part in the trials.

Mudassar added that Chairman PNF, Capt (R) Zafar Iqbal Awan approved the month-long training camp at PSB Coaching Centre here from Aug 1 under the supervision and guidance of coaches Shazia Yousaf and Anwaar Ahmed.

Thirteen teams will take part in the Asian Women Netball Championship including Pakistan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Maldives, Brunei, Chinese Taipei, Thailand and Singapore.
