KARACHI: Talha Amjad scored a magnificent 23 points to propel Nishter Club to a fantastic 37-36 win against Omega Sports in a thrilling semifinal of the 13th NBP Cup basketball tournament here on Sunday at the Arambagh courts.

In the other semifinal, defending champions Bounce Club beat Malir Trojans 42-29 to enter the final.

Talha was unstoppable absolutely in the first semifinal and was well supported by Chanzeb (11 points) as Nishter Club edged past Omega Club who also fought back superbly through Taimur Zaheer (7 points) while Mohammad Riaz and Kenneth Johnson score six points each.

In the second semifinal, Bounce Club won mainly due to MuzammiI Hussain (13 points), Mohsin Riaz (12 points) and Mubasshir Hussain (8 points).

For Malir Trojans, Abbas Ali scored 11 ppoints while both Bilal Khan and Imran Khan scored five points each.
