HYDERABAD: A young Silawat, Anwar Ali, who created a wave of anger against the Family Planning Organisation in the City for alleged forcible vasectomy operation, was arrested by the Police yesterday [July 20] on the charge of disturbing public peace.

The arrest was made under the West Pakistan Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance following his admission that there was no truth in his forcible vasectomy story and he had played the hoax as he had strained relations with his wife and other members of his family.

Anwer Ali had reported to the Police yesterday that while he was going near the Civil Hospital on Thursday night some persons called him inside the hospital and did forcible vasectomy operation on him. — Agency
