KARACHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to the establishment secretary asking him to inform it about what action had been taken against senior police officers with patchy service record.
When the matter came up for hearing before the three-judge bench of the apex court headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed, it asked if the proceedings against the senior officers of the Sindh police had been completed.
An additional attorney general replied that a report has already been filed regarding former provincial police officer of Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali and others.
The bench sought complete record of the inquiries conducted against the senior police officers of grade 18 and above and put the establishment secretary on notice for Friday (today) directing him to inform the court about the action taken against senior officials.
