KARACHI: The Sindh government removed and then reinstated prisons IG Nusrat Mangan through two different notifications issued one after the other within a few hours, officials said on Tuesday.

Late on Monday, they said, a notification issued by the authorities concerned appointed Imran Yaqoob Minhas as the new prisons IG and ordered Mr Mangan to report to the department concerned for further posting orders.

However, a notification issued by the home department on Tuesday withdrew the previous order and asked Mr Mangan to continue serving as the prisons IG until further orders.
