Byco commissions new isomerisation plant
KARACHI: Byco Isomerisation Pakistan Ltd, Byco Petroleum’s wholly-owned subsidiary, has commissioned a new insomerisation plant.
The parent company in a notice to Pakistan Stock Exchange said it had employed a superior technology with capacity of 12,500 BPD, which produces higher octane valued component of motor gasoline.
Currently, Byco produces and supplies 40,000 tonnes per month of gasoline which will increase to 65,000 tonnes per month.
Mughal Steels adds six engines to old plants
KARACHI: Mughal Iron and Steel Industries informed the PSX that six additional engines for existing gas-fired power plant have all been commissioned.
With regards to the balancing, modernising and restructuring of existing bar re-rolling mills, the second shipment has been effected; civil work for cooling bed and foundation of two additional stands has been completed.
Female trainees to operate STS cranes
KARACHI: Hutchison Ports Pakistan, the country’s first and only deep-water container terminal, has licensed the country’s first female management engineering trainees to operate remote-controlled ship-to-shore (STS) gantry cranes.
“Breaking new ground in a male-dominated field, management engineer trainees Faryal Anwar and Umama Saleem finished training in remote-controlled STS crane operations at the container port,” a press release issued on Monday said.
