PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced power shutdown from five to 10 hours due to maintenance work on its transmission lines and installation of power pylons in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 16.

In a statement, Pesco said on Friday that the residents of Jamrud, Hayatabad and Peshawar University would face power suspension from 6am to 12 noon while the consumers of Khyber-1 and 2 and Hayatabad-9 would be affected from 7am to 12 noon.

The consumers of Baghe Iram, Charsadda Road, City-2, Rural-1, Nisatta Road, Gujar Garhi, Duranabad, Dang Baba, Bank Road, Gaju Khan, Eidgah, Bala Garhi, Zando, Garhi Kapoora, Sheikh Maltoon, Rashakai, Industrial area, Bughdada, Ahmadabad and New Toru areas will face inconvenience from 7am to 1pm.

In Mardan, the consumers of Saleem Khan area will suffer power suspension from 6am to 4pm while its timings would be from 7am to 1pm in Shahdand, Babini, Malakand Road, MES, Par Hoti, Shankar, Jehangirabad, Takht Bhai, Old Takkar, Umerabad, Katlang, Badraga, Lund Khwar, Shergarhand Ghazi Baba besides Kalu Khan, Ismaila, Yar Hussain, Bakhshali, Sawaldher and Mosa Khat.

In Tarbela, the consumers of Maini and Yousafzai will face power suspension from 7am to1pm, while the residents of Haripur and Havelian will suffer it from 8am to 1pm.

In Swat, the consumers of Mingora 1, 2, 3 and 4, Gulkadra, Takhta Band, Bandai, Haji Baba, Bara Bandai, Saidu Baba, Marghuzar, Kabal 1, 2, 3 and 4, Malam Jaba and Barikot will face inconvenience from 7am to 1pm. Pesco has also announced power suspension for Lower Dir areas, including Timergara, Maidan and Samar Bagh, for the same duration.
