PESHAWAR: Prof Hussain Shaheed Soherwardi has been transferred from the department of international relations, University of Peshawar, and posted as acting director of the varsity’s institute of conflict studies with immediate effect.

According to a statement issued by the University of Peshawar here on Monday, Mr Soherwardi completed his MS and PhD from the University of Edinburgh, UK, where his research concerned with foreign policy and security studies.

He taught as American Fulbright Commission resource person the subject of peace and conflict studies between 2010 and 2016.

Dr Soherwardi wrote 40 research papers published in international and national research journals. The titles range between conflict, peace, foreign and security policies, Afghanistan and terrorism studies.
