Shell inducts 120 oil tankers

KARACHI: Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) inaugurated the induction of 120 safety complaint oil tankers to its Haulier fleet at Shell Terminal in Machike, Sheikhupura in Punjab, a press release said.

The event was attended by representatives of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), DG Oil, Member Oil, senior officials from Rescue 1122 and National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP).

Indus Motor raises prices

KARACHI: Indus Motor Company (IMC) has increased the price of various locally assembled Toyota Corolla and other vehicles by Rs50,000-250,000 which is the third price jump by the company since January.

A company official attributed the price hike to frequent rupee devaluation against the dollar. The price range in imported vehicles is much higher than the increase in locally made vehicles.

Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd had also raised prices three times while assembler of Honda cars increased its rates two times since January.

‘Aramco eyes India’s entire energy sector’

MUMBAI: Saudi Arabian state-owned oil company Saudi Aramco wants to be present in the entire “value chain” of India’s energy sector, its Chief Executive Officer Amin Nasser said on Monday in New Delhi.

The company did not spell out specifics of the plan but indicated that fuel marketing is one of them.

The company is looking at “all options” to enter fuel retailing through partnerships with Indian oil companies, Nasser said.
