KARACHI, May 31: The additional district and sessions judge, South, Farzana Anver Shah, sentenced a man to a 14-year term for molesting a nine-year girl. Mohammed Akbar was found guilty of having assaulted the daughter of Mohammed Ilyas in a mosque near Burnes Road on Nov 11, 2001.

He was booked in the case by the Women Police Station.

ACQUITTED: The additional district and sessions judge, East, Rashida Asad, acquitted a man in a robbery-cum-murder case.

The judge exonerated Nazim, a worker of the MQM (Haqiqi), from all charges for want of incriminating evidence.
