LAHORE: PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the nation will hold PTI chairman Imran Khan accountable on July 25 for his failed performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and habit of abusing and humiliating people.

Reacting to PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry’s allegations against the PML-N that it launched Imran’s former wife Reham Khan and ex-chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry against him (Imran), Ms Aurangzeb said the culture of levelling allegations and abuse would cost Imran and his party a lot in the elections.

“Abusing and maligning people will not benefit the PTI and the people will teach him a lesson in the coming polls,” she said, asking Mr Khan to tell the nation as to why he fled from appearing before the election commission in Islamabad.

“Imran should reply to the objections raised by the ECP in his nomination paper,” she said adding Khan remained speechless during a BBC talk show when asked to tell his party’s achievements and work in the KP.

The former federal information minister said the PTI chairman flouted the law by getting his crony Zulfi Bokhari flown out of the country in violation of law and also travelled on a chartered plane without disclosing who sponsored it.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said the nation would reject the “lairs and attackers of the parliament and sit-in organisers” on July 25.
