TAXILA: Five members of a family - two women and three minors - were murdered in their house in the jurisdiction of the Hazro police on Thursday.

The police said Waseem, a barber by profession, had contracted two marriages and his wives were living along with their three children in a house in the Jatial village.

On Thursday afternoon, some people entered the house and killed the two women and three children after tightening their hands and escaped.

The dead were identified as Alishba and Naila, wives of Waseem, and his children Hassan, Kashan and Usman, aged between two and six years.

Police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to hospital after collecting evidence and are investigating the case.

As per the police, Waseem belonged to Karachi and was settled in the Jatial village.
