KOHAT/TIMERGARA/GHALANAI: Seven persons among them children were killed and several others injured in separate road accidents in Kohat, Lower Dir and Mohmand tribal region on Wednesday.

Three members of a family a minor among them were killed when a tractor they were travelling in fell into a ravine in Dalan area of Thall tehsil of Kohat.

Mohammad Irshad, 20, lost control over the vehicle which slipped into ravine, killing himself, and his two minor sons, Ikramullah, 9, and Mohammad Sodes, 4, on the spot.Two youths were killed and one was injured when a motorcycle they were riding was hit by a speeding trailer in Adenzai.

Residents and police said Safoor, Tufail and Hammad were going on a motorcycle when it was hit by a trailer at Gadar.

As a result, Safoor and Tufail died on the spot while Hammad was injured.

The Chakdara police arrested the trailer driver, Mohammad Saifullah of Rahim Yar Khan.

Separately, two children were killed and 18 others injured when a passenger coach met an accident on Peshawar-Mohmand Road in Qandahari area of Safi tehsil of Mohmand. The injured were shifted to the agency headquarters hospital, Ghalanai. Four critically injured were referred to a hospital in Peshawar.
