PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company will ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers on Eidul Fitr.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Wapda House chaired by Pesco Chief Executive Officer Engr Mohammad Amjad Khan here on Wednesday.

The meeting reviewed the arrangements made for power supply during the Eid days. All chief engineers, superintending engineers and Pesco’s senior officers attended the meeting.

The Pesco chief directed the participants to take all possible steps to provide uninterrupted power supply to the customers.

It was decided that the technical staff would remain on duty round the clock to meet any emergency.

The Pesco chief issued guidelines to the field officers and directed them to issue necessary equipment to the field staff for immediate restoration of power supply in case of any fault.

The consumers were also asked to contact the officials of relevant circles in case of any emergency.

Besides, the Pesco chief directed the relevant staff to reduce losses, enhance recovery and implement 100 per cent photo-meter reading by the end of June 2018.
