MIRAMSHAH: The administration of North Waziristan tribal region has banned political gatherings, processions and rallies in the jurisdiction of Razmak subdivision during the Eid holidays.

The administration said that as Razmak was a tourist spot and families from various areas visited the area to enjoy themselves during the Eid festivities, political gatherings, processions and rallies would be banned in the area during this period, according to a notification issued here.

However, the notification did not mention under which law the ban had been imposed.

It stated that keeping in view the huge influx of families during the first three days of Eid, a complete ban had been imposed on any sort of political gatherings, processions and rallies in the territorial bounds of Razmak to facilitate the visiting families and public and ensure smooth business during the Eid days.

The notification stated that the violators of the ban would be proceeded against under the law.
