ISLAMABAD: A woman was killed, allegedly by her husband and mother-in-law in G-9 on Friday.

According to the police, Hina Bibi, a mother of four, had moved to her sister-in-law’s house after fighting with her husband a few days ago.

The police said the husband came to his sister’s house with his mother on Friday and killed Hina. The body was moved to the hospital for completing legal requirements.

Marks of strangulation were found on her neck, the police said, and that the actual cause of death will be established after an autopsy is done.

In an unrelated incident, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a truck on IGP Road, the police said. The victim was identified as Rozi Gul.

Separately, four people belonging to opposing groups sustained injuries during a clash after Friday prayers.

According to the police, the fight took place in the Mandala Village, where two families have been in dispute for many years.

One of the families registered a robbery case against a member of the other which started the dispute.

They started to fight when they came face to face at the mosque where they had come to offer Friday prayers. Other villagers had intervened and stopped them from fighting.
