LAHORE: The Punjab government on Thursday transferred and posted about two dozen senior bureaucrats, including three secretaries and officials from the chief minister’s secretariat – ahead of completing its tenure.

Those relieved of their present assignments are forestry, wildlife and fisheries department secretary Waheed-ud-Din (PAS/BS-21) in pursuance of federal government’s notification for his new assignment as chief secretary of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mall secretary Muhammad Haroon-ur-Rafique (PAS/BS-20) was transferred and posted as forestry, wildlife and fisheries department secretary.

Nabeel Javed (PAS/BS-20), awaiting posting in S&GAD has been posted as social welfare and bait-ul-maal department secretary.

Muhammad Jehanzeb (PAS/BS-19) additional secretary finance department has been transferred and posted as managing director of Board of Management, Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), in his own pay and scale against a vacant post, relieving regulations secretary of additional charge of the post.

Ali Shehzad (PAS/BS-18) who was cabinet deputy secretary, has been transferred and posted as additional secretary in finance department in his own pay and scale against a vacant post.

Muhammad Umer Sher Chattha (PAS/BS-18), Personal Staff Officer to the chief minister, has been transferred and posted as cabinet deputy secretary.

Jehangir Anwar (ex-PSS)/BS-18), an officer on special duty, has been posted as additional secretary in finance department in his own pay and scale against a vacant post.

Chief Minister’s office additional secretary Zain Bin Maqsood (PAS/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as special secretary of expenditure and corporate finance in finance department in his own pay and scale against a vacant post, relieving Usman Ahmad Chaudhry (PAS/BS-19) Program Director, PRMP, of additional charge of the post.

Chief Minister’s office deputy secretary Mehtab Waseem Zafar (PAS/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as Anti-Corruption Establishment, director of Lahore region, in his own pay and scale against a vacant post.

Chief Minister’s Personal Staff Officer Syed Muhammad Masood Nouman (PAS/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as additional secretary in finance department in his own pay and scale against a vacant post.

Muhammad Naeem Ghaus (PMS (ex-PSS)/BS-19) serving as additional secretary in irrigation department has been transferred and posted as additional secretary in Chief Minister’s office against a vacant post.

Tariq Mahmood (PMS (ex-PCS)/BS-18), who was deputy secretary in Chief Minister’s office, has been transferred and posted as additional secretary in irrigation department in his own pay and scale.

Abdul Shakoor (PMS (ex-PCS)/BS-19) Director (Production) Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore, has been transferred and posted as Director (Admn), Punjab Auqaf Organisation against a vacant post.

Afzaal Ahmad (PMS (ex-PSS)/BS-19) additional secretary in Chief Minister’s office has been transferred and posted as director (Production), Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore, on deputation basis.

Haider Ali (OMG/BS-18) working on acting charge basis) as deputy secretary, Chief Minister’s office, has been transferred and posted as deputy secretary in the Local Government and Community Development Department, against a vacant post.

Rana Akbar Hayat (ICT Administration/ BS-19), Deputy Commissioner, Attock, has been transferred and posted as director-general, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), in his own pay and scale against a vacant post, relieving the Rawalpindi Division commissioner of additional charge of the post.

Retired Capt Ikram-ul-Haq (PAS/BS-18), who was additional deputy commissioner (Revenue), Attock, has been given additional charge of the post of deputy commissioner in addition to his own duties and till the posting of a regular incumbent.

Waqar Hussain (PMS(ex-PSS)/BS-18) who was Punjab Workers Welfare Board (PWWB) secretary, has been transferred and posted as additional secretary in Chief Minister’s office in his own pay and scale against a vacant post.

Ahmer Nike (PAS/BS-18), serving as deputy secretary in Chief Minister’s office has been transferred and posted as PWWB secretary in his own pay and scale.

Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari (PMS (ex-PCS)/BS-20), an officer on special duty in the S&GAD, has been posted as Member (Colonies) Board of Revenue, Punjab, in his own pay and scale against a vacant post.

The contractual appointment of Akbar Nasir Khan (PSP/BS-19) as chief operating officer of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), Lahore, has been extended for a period of one year from March 16, 2018 to March 15, 2019.
