US diplomat

Published May 16, 2018

THE release of Colonel Joseph, the defence attaché at the US embassy, is the latest example of diplomatic mishandling by Pakistan. The same silliness was displayed in the Raymond Davis case.

Our men at the helm of affairs should know that we are not in a position to stand the pressure of the international community, especially America. Then why the hype in such cases? Issues like those of Raymond and Joseph should have been handled sagaciously. It must be noted that repeated telecast of the news of the release of such people had a demoralising effect on the nation.
