SIALKOT, Jan 8: A trader was shot dead by five dacoits on resistance at his shop in Warsaalkey village, Daska tehsil on Monday night.
Reportedly, the dacoits shot dead Bashir, 60, and took away Rs20,000 in cash from the shop.
He is survived by six children.
Police have registered a case with no arrest so far.

Six dacoits barged into Muhammad Iqbal’s house, held up the inmates and collected cash, jewellery, a TV set and a VCR. They beat the women on resistance and fled.
The family had recently shifted in a rented house in the locality from Shakargarh’s border village in the wake of growing Indo-Pak tension.
Investigation is underway.
