KARACHI: A meeting held at the commissioner’s office on Tuesday formulated a strategy to contain profiteering during the holy month of Ramazan.

Commissioner Ejaz Khan presided over the session which was attended by all deputy commissioners.
It decided that stern action would be taken against those found involved in making unfair profits.

Mr Khan said some unscrupulous shopkeepers and traders rather than keeping the prices of meat, vegetables and fruits low during Ramazan increased them.

He directed deputy commissioners to stay vigilant in their respective areas and conduct raids regularly.
