THE ransacking of the Faisalabad city police office and the thrashing of cops by lawyers has proved beyond a shadow of doubt that this community does not respect the law.

While citizens fear entering a police station, we saw policemen running away from stick-wielding lawyers.

Instead of taking action against the lawbreakers, the police high-ups and the Bar Council have decided to sit together and resolve the issue amicably.

Lawyers in various cities of Punjab have made a long list of people involved in attacking judges, policemen, clients and their relatives. The Faisalabad incident will just add to the list of crimes by lawyers.
