LAHORE: The seventh Dawn Food and Agri Expo will start at Expo Centre, Johar Town, here on Wednesday (today).

The two-day event is supported by the Punjab government. Technical working session related to food and agriculture like CPEC impact on farm sector, market dynamics, technology infusion, value-chain development, etc. will be held on both days, May 3 and 4, of the exhibition.

Key international and domestic players including investors, exporters, farmers, government officials and distributors will be again on a single platform like in the past to explore new technologies and innovations in food and agriculture sectors.

Besides local technology companies, international firms from Australian America, China, Turkey and Argentina will set up their stalls at the expo, while various provincial departments like livestock, agriculture, water management, and floriculture directorates will also showcase their services there.

The event will provide the food, agriculture and allied sectors like livestock and poultry the drive they need in terms of exposure to new farm technology, machinery, food technology and general improvement in farming methods.

The exhibition will be open from 11am to 7pm on both days and entry to the event will be free.
