LAHORE / ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday called on Nawaz Sharif at his Jati Umra residence.

According to the party sources, PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz were also present at the meeting. The PML-N said national and political situation in the country came under the discussion.

According to a PML-N leader, the meeting also discussed a strategy for the upcoming election, distribution of tickets and holding of public rallies in Punjab this month. They also talked about the cases the Sharif family was facing in the accountability court.

He said Nawaz Sharif, the supreme leader of the PML-N, directed the party president to accelerate the public contact campaign.

According to the schedule issued by the party, public meetings will be addressed by Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz in different cities.

The first rally will be held in Sahiwal on May 1 and the last on May 13 in Gujar

Khan. During this period, public meetings will also be held in Rahim Yar Khan, Chitral, Jhelum, Mansehra, Khushab, Chishtian, Chakwal and Multan.
