OUR country was based on the motto of ‘Unity, Faith and Discipline’. Unity has been eradicated, as everyone is trying to overpower the other in every aspect, may it be in politics or on a roadside.
Mutual respect is slowly disappearing; Pakistanis are being branded ‘terrorists’, ‘cheaters’ and ‘corrupt money-makers’ all over the world.
As for discipline, there is none. Waiting for the red light to turn green sends us into a frenzy. The only thing which can help us is our unity, and our respect for one another.
We all should follow what John F. Kennedy said: “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country”.
