PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Jamaat-i-Islami have agreed on modalities for joint nomination for the caretaker government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said an official statement.

The consensus was reached in a meeting between Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and a delegation of JI comprising its provincial chief Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Provincial Senior Minister Inayatullah Khan and Finance Minister Muzafar Said.

They discussed issues in detail regarding provincial rights and vowed to work jointly for protection of the rights of the people of the province. They also discussed the upcoming budget and economic situation of the province.

On this occasion, the chief minister appreciated the dedication, competence and sprit of the JI ministers in the cabinet.
